Where I Was And Where I Am

  • by Tz.

Well, being the new guy I might as well send a little history here.. Started in the land of PCs back in.. Let's just say I was a tech and remember cracking open the first ever, shiny, brand new 386SX processor.. Well wait a sec, I got a brand new, just released Commodore 64 back in 84 if that counts.. Which, I had no choice but to disassemble day one. Yep that went over real well with the parents.. Ok, done there. Anyways, started messing with overclocking when the Athlon debuted back in the early 2K timeframe, since then, it's been a sickness to see how far I can... read more

Making A Website Constructive Criticism Please

Well what the title says. My dad is going to start a business and asked if I can make him a website. The business is gardening and landscaping. I have only just started making the website and for now as I don't have any pictures or logos and I don't know what the company name will be so I am just going to use a black box with what is supposed to be filling that space. I am just doing the layout and general design. So far all I have is this but I am working on it right now. UPDATE I got bored of making it from scratch so I found a template that doesn't say I... read more

A Test Of Patience

lately things have been extremely interesting to say the least. I get hired part time, a few weeks later, wife gets laid off. Then I get a job offer for full time at another place- they end up not calling back after officially "hiring" me. So I still have my part time work at least. But that's only part of it. I've noticed that whenever my wife and are able to get some extra money, something always happens to take it away! I'm not joking here lol. I mean it, every time we've had extra cash, something bad usually happens. Take for example, every time I save up enough... read more

Semper Fi For Daniel

We all knew him as Syrillian. I knew him as Daniel. On PMs, on occasional emails (all of which I've saved), he always signed his real name; he always called me "brother." We lost Daniel - Syrillian - last Saturday, August 13, 2011. He succumbed to cancer. But he did not lose his battle against a disease; he fought the good fight by continuing to live the life of a great person, one full of love and compassion and a generosity of wisdom, and he won. Because he touched us all and left an indelible mark on our hearts and souls, we, too, are also victors.... read more
