We all knew him as Syrillian. I knew him as Daniel. On PMs, on occasional emails (all of which I've saved), he always signed his real name; he always called me "brother." We lost Daniel - Syrillian - last Saturday, August 13, 2011. He succumbed to cancer. But he did not lose his battle against a disease; he fought the good fight by continuing to live the life of a great person, one full of love and compassion and a generosity of wisdom, and he won. I finished Bioshock 2 on Hard...excellent game. Maybe not as good as the first one, but still great. Ways that it's worse than the original:I hated Big Sisters for the first half of the game...it almost seemed unfair, it was impossible to fight them without dying multiple times and just wearing her down by attrition. But then I got the "freeze" plasmid and realized that it was my own suckiness that was the problem...I should have been shocking her with Electro Bolt and meleeing her from the start. My friend asked me to help him build a machine and I was wondering if someone could help pick a board. We have decided on the 2600k for the cpu, 580 for video (probably 2 of them in sli),Ripjaw for the ram and either a 690ii or a Phantom to put it all in. I am looking for an 1155 board that will run 2x16 and 1x4 pci-e so if we want two video cards and a Revo x2 we won't run in to problems. Is there such a board? read more

Today I got my first speeding ticket in 5 years. (Not including those bunk traffic light cameras which I suspect may be timed differently). I opted to pay the fine and be done with it, but I noticed that the older man on the motorcycle in front of me was not ticketed although he was going faster than me. In 2009 I got my first real job (Working live a slave at Qdoba) while going through College for Network Administration. Any time that wasn't spent working or going to school I ended up wasting by smoking wed with my friends at the time. After quitting my job at Qdoba I worked with my friend repairing computers and doing any odd technological job trying to make a business out of it.
