Did you submit this as a FAQ? At the very least it should be stickied.

FAQ section is on hold, that is why it isn't in there, but I think the information in this is valuable enough to have in the forums and not FAQ section anyway.

Any word on the next 3DMark benchmark release? I might need someone else to do what I did for it since it will inevitably involve DX10.

I just saw this thread...maybe you need a jazzier title (something with SEX on it)... I digress:
Stargate, nice job. I would probably die of boredom running 45 benches. However did you take into account there is a significant points difference (around 200-500 pts) in benching the SAME setup? In some ways I have found that getting more points is not linear. In some cases my higher overclock yielded LESS points. Hence, the SWEET SPOT. The graphical relationship between the Overcloking of the CPU, GPU/s, and RAM is probably 3 dimensional. Each increase in one factor affects where the sweet spot is located.

The relationship is 3-dimensional, but my RAM is crappy so I did it given a specific RAM speed. Ideally speaking, running everything as high/fast as possible will give you the best score. If it doesn't, I imagine the culprit is stability. To avoid this, I made sure I had my system well below what it was capable of achieving.

It really is a shame that this thread gets buried in the rubble of over a dozen hwbot threads. I made sure that there is a lot of helpful information presented here, and I am more than willing to post results of others willing to take the time to what I did.

Is anyone willing to do this testing with 3DMark Vantage? It wouldn't require you to do nearly as many runs since I did all the other programs, but I wouldn't object to adding more data to the previous 3DMark versions if you wish to run those as well. I only ask that you follow the same guidelines I did (such as keeping the RAM speed and timings the same, etc.). We could discuss testing procedures via PM.
Also, if you have a PhysX card that would be very helpful since Futuremark decided to put support in for it.
