Default #1 Opty/8800gt combo on 3dmark06.

Kinda surprised, figured I get somewhere around 8000 after getting raped by the cpu tests. Ran the test at stock gpu clocks and got about 300 less. Then overclocked the 8800gt to 700/1600/1950 (can't seem to get any higher without my system locking up).

/bragging rights?

TBH.. i dont think its that great. When i had my X2 3800+ w/ my 3850, i hit 9k marks easily..

I've seen an Opty 170 with an 8800GT hitting almost 12k...that's not all that impressive.

Best it's going to get until I can figure out how to get past this overclocking wall I've hit. Can't get the opty above 2.56ghz (fsb @ 285x9) without running into problems.
Like I said I didn't expect that much from a 939 system, but it can't be that bad since I'm #1 amongst similar setups.

What did you max your 3800 out at?

I feel you on that overclocking wall. My old Opty 165 did about 2.7GHz MAX. Now I've tried an E2180 and hit a wall at 3.0GHz and then an E2200 that's hitting a wall not much higher than the E2180. I've gotten 3 bad CPU's in a row and I'm beginning to think it's a conspiracy against me getting a good OC'ing CPU.

BTW, good job on the Number 1!

that still semi low for 2.5 vwgti is right behind me with his opty 170 with 8800gt with a 3d06 score of 11429. Hes oced to 3140Mhz.
