Well first off that run you quoted was done on Vista Business x86. I just recently set up three seperate partitions (W7, Vista x86, Vista x64) with W7 being my main OS for now and the other two tweaked Vista installs for benching only.

Now, with regards to W7 from what I can tell from the benches I have done it is about the same as Vista. Very minimal if really any difference. I actually prefer Vista for benching over W7.

O_O I LOVE HD4830 Crossfire!!!

this is the first(2nd) 3dmark06 run I did after getting crossfire enabled in the drivers, no tweaking or overclocking yet(oc'ed now) (but it should be able to hit 700 core, edit:yep, they sure did)
Same setup as previously, but I'll repost since I got bumped off the top 40
Motherboard:Biostar TA790GX3
CPU & Clocks: Athlon X2 7750BE@3.3ghz
NB frequency:2.4ghz
HT frequency:1.8ghz
Graphics Card & Clocks:CrossfireX HIS Hightech HD4830 IceQ4 (700core 1000mem)
Memory & Clocks:OCZ Platinum DDR2-1066
SM 2.0 Score:6469
SM 3.0 Score:8241
CPU Score:2759
3DMark Score:14710

Previous best with a massively unstable GPU overclock was 12960. I'll bet I can push that score a bunch higher when i overclock the twins.(edit:they're oc'ed now)

EDIT:
Stupid 3dmark defaulted to 1280x800. had to change monitor drivers
this is with 700 core 1000 (2000 effective)
also, is it just me, or do ATI cards not like SM 2.0 tests? it hardly bumped at all from the overclock.

also o_O I just looked at our list. I have the top scored dual core on there. WOW
