New Update. This just goes to show that as a "graphics" benchmark, 3DMark06 is kind of misleading. I backed off the CPU to 3813MHz and added another 4870X2. The result? A gain of less than 700 points.

Anyway,
Motherboard:Asus M3A79-T
CPU & Clocks:Phenom II 940 @3.813GHz
HT Link / NB Clocks:1806/2006
Graphics Card & Clocks:Radeon 2 x HD4870 X2 - Stock
Memory & Clocks:4GB OCZ Reaper @800MHz
SM 2.0 Score:7839
SM 3.0 Score:11873
CPU Score:5279
3DMark Score:21,804

Nice Job Gen. What do you use to overclock your gfx card? Just ATI overdrive, or some other tool?

Hi everybody, this is my first amd build and matter of the fact only serious OCing rig. This is my second day with it and I am very happy with the results. I belive I can milk some more out of it, If I can set my coreclock higher and get stability on my memory. I am going to try more in coming days, any recomandations would be appriciated.

Thanks, and yes, just ATI Overdrive. I think I can squeze a bit more out of these 4870's but to lazy to mod the bios...

As for the CPU, I'd need to get better ambient temps and a better cooler and I could get 3.6GHz for a 24/7 overclock. For a suicide run on air, I could possibly get ~3.7GHz, 3.8 if I'm lucky, I seem to be hitting a wall to get 3.5GHz (1.4375V) and another wall at to get 3.6GHz (~1.5V never fully check stability due to temps).
