So I'm kinda experimenting which memory set up (manual speeds, linked speeds, linked & synced speeds, etc.) will give me the best performance for my system. What benchmark would give me the best reading for this? Benches I have on hand:
Would any of those give me a good memory benchmark, or do should I use a different one? Suggestions? Thanks guys

Doesn't Everest have a memory bandwidth bench?

You will get the best performance running Linked and Synced on an Nvidia board. Get you're CPU FSB as high as possible with out becoming unstable. Ideally 500 FSB would get you're RAM running at DDR2 1000 L&S but I don't think you'll be getting that Q6600 that high.

For most benchies, however..there are certain things you will want to do..like: ..defrag before running benchies... ..kill all unnecessary background tasks, and set benchmark to high priority.. ..kill 'explorer.exe' just before launching benchmark.. ..tune RAM to lowest possible overall latency [either in BIOS or Windows].. ....and lotslots more.. I run benchmarks with 10-13 background tasks total, running...and have all non-essential's disabled or shut off...
