Yeah, Something is wrong. I score under 60k in 01 with my e8600 @ 4.6 and my 4890 at 1000 core 1200 mem.

LOD tweaks are your best friend they make a noticable difference to your score

Run order is also important.

Can you do 7x600 with your E8600? That would be a good starting point to start practicing from. I think that OCA comp has a speed limit for 4.2ghz as well so you could use that as motivation

None of my mobo's are 500+ capable..so I settle for the highest FSB I can manage..and absolute tightest RAM latency and PL# possible. Plus all the usual ...disable like 20 services, silverXP theme..etc..Oh, and I run X64-pro.
