It's very awesome. I feel like I came from a budget card (X1900XT) to a real card.
Not to say I didn't like my X1900XT, but this one runs circles around it. Q6600 @ 3608MHz. HD2900PRO at 876/2310. I can't figure out how to up the voltage on the 2900 yet though.

I simply cannot compete without a faster processor speed. Unfortunately I'm still stuck with a crippled 975X/G that can only do 328MHz FSB with since I kind of broke it and killed a USB header. Oh well, I think even coming close with a sub 3GHz quad is nice.

We have reasonable 470 benchmarks you can figure out GTX480 performance. At BEST you're going to see ~12.5% increase in performance from 448sp -> 512sp assuming 100% scaling. If there's anything we've learned from 8800gt to 8800GTS and gtx260 to gtx280 that the additional shaders do not quite scale linearly, closer to 70-90% scaling. If GTX470 is 0-10% slower than the 5870, then we can REASONABLY expect GTX480 to be ~5-10% faster than the 5870. As drivers mature the relative performance against the 5870 will change but the 480/470 relative performance won't significantly change.

Absolutely. I just now fired up my Volt Modified DDR3 board and will be looking for 4 Ghz off my G0. If all goes well I will plug in a pair of HD 2900XT and make sweet love to the Spreadsheet
