Well many of you just want more 3DMarks or make a life style out of it, so i will leave here some advices for you:
__________________For 3DMark2001SE use Win XP with DirectX 8.1. Best order for Game Tests : Dragotic Low ----Lobby Low----Car High----Dragotic High----Lobby High----Nature----Car Low Best Texture LOD's: Car Game Test = LOD +10 Dragothic Game Test = LOD +12 Lobby Game Test = LOD + 4 Nature= LOD +3 Use ATi tool or Rivatunner to change LOD and do a test at a time by the order i said above, you will get a better score for sure. For 3DMark 2005 just use a LOD value of +1.8 or +2 and Windows Vista SP1 For 3Dmark 2006 you can not change LOD values so just use a clean install of Win XP and do the best overclock you can. For all 3Dmarks go to Control Painel/ Admnistrative tools / Services and turn Off all the things you just donīt use helps something also get rid of wallpaper and gadjets in the Desktop. Cheers and good benchmarking

Thanks for the tips, but looking at 2001, how do you change the order of the game tests?

You just open 3Dmark 2001 and at the left side you have a box and it says CHANGE select that then clear all and choose the first game Drag Low go bench then repeat for each one in my order you will see improvements.

Hm, I've always ran it on nvidia cards, 260's and a 275 so maybe thats it.

I just tried your method compared to just running the whole bench as is, it makes a difference, +1.
__________________Is that what the ' batch run' in the pro features is for (setting up the order that way & running it all with 1 mouse click)? As far as 3d06, I find a stripped down version of XP 32 bit gives me the best scores. I clock as high as I can to pass the cpu tests, if it passes the cpu tests without crashing the score is usually better. In Vantage I have to try to stabilize the overclock a bit more, I may be able to pass the cpu tests at 223 x 21 but I'll get a better score dropping to 221 x 21 at the same settings.

LOD is a touchy subject..I would prefer you keep that to PM. Thankyou.
*Also..peak setting is going to vary with GPU type/drivers..there is no set magic level for uber score.
