hey guys,
just wondering if anyone could shed some insight into what might cause 3dmark06's CPU score on my machine to gain 2000 points on the same configuration then loose it again. Background: I have recently been playing with one of the new i7 860s and benchmarking different overclocks. I got a a solid stable setup @ 4.4ghz which was netting me consistent 27000 3dmarks. I decided that I would slightly lower the clocks on m 4890s (without touching the CPU,RAM,BIOS options) and run another 3dmark. This time I netted over 2000 points more than I have ever gotten - 29876. I will attach a screen shot of the run. the major difference between this run and all of my others is the CPU score.

Is it Possible that with the i7 Turbo Boost is on/off in different runs? It's the only thing that I could think of that would result in odd changes in score like this.

I dont think I even re-booted the machine inbetween runs so I dont think so.
I have had a look at the CPU score on other similar setups and my CPU score seems low for the core MHZ compared to similar processors EXCEPT on the run that I posted the screenshot of. for instance I have run a few runs at 4.5ghz and scored around the low 28000 mark. My CPU mark in these runs is equivilent to what a lot of the guys running at about 3.8ghz-4ghz are getting....
