I just started using Orthos and i usually use Prime to test my overclock.
__________________I was wondering if they were basically the same thing and if one is more reliable than the other. I like Orthos more but is there really a diff and are there any other stress test Worth using? please share your thought.

for ultimate stability, people like to use several programs
there are numerous threads about this there is a thread for direct download of programs as well have a read around

I have never used Orthos, but from what I read Prime95 is the Holy Grail of stress testing programs. I know that Linxs and OCCT cannot hold a candle to Prime95, but again, not sure about Orthos. If I were you I would get to stable setting on your computer, then make it unstable by decreasing the voltage a bit. After you have done this run each program one at a time and see with one shows instability first... The one that shows the instability first would be my choice. I am doing some stress testing now and I think I might try Orthos just to see what it is about.

You're correct. Orthos is prime95 except with a better GUI, but it is much bulkier. It uses more clockcycles than prime95 and therefore I don't like it. For a stress testing program, being bulky and using more clock cycles than the bare minimum is unacceptable.

Prime95 > Orthos.
__________________Orthos has a flashier GUI, but Prime95 also has a 64-bit version. Use Prime95 Small FFT/Blend for 8-12 hours each. And, unlike what was said above, OCCT/IBT/LinX are good stability testing methods as well, and I would use at least Prime95 as mentioned above and do 2 hours of OCCT + 25 passes of IBT on Very High or Max settings, depending on your RAM amount and then call it a day. I've never encountered any errors after using all 3.

I used to use orthos, until I went with a quad core. Prime95 supported running 4 cores (and now 8 with HT) at the time when Orthos only supported 2. You could run 2 instances of orthos, and set the cores if you wanted to. But they noth run identical stress tests on the cores. It has been a while, so I have no idea if orthos now supports quads or not.
