The first dx11 bench came out, the Unigine Heaven (click to download)
A few observations first. Either OpenGL is a worse rendering technique for games, or ATI drivers aren't that good, all I can say is that it looks worse, has less volumetric effects, no occlusion mapping or blur and it achieves the lowest FPS. In Dx9 it looks good, oblivion style, but nothing breath taking. In Dx10 there are some decent shadows, volumetric effects and pretty good lightning. In Dx11 tessellation really makes for some good eye candy and pretty realistic grass without negatively impacting the scores (may it be because I have a dx 10.1 card?). Now the specs: E5200 @3.33GHz, HD4850 (675/1100) with 512MB, rest in the sig. Tests at 1920x1080 (1080p) with defaults settings (4xAF, 0xAA, high for all the other options). Opengl: FPS 19.9, Score 501 Dx9: FPS 29.2, Score 736 Dx10: FPS 26.4, Score 665 Dx11:FPS 26.4, Score 664 Dx11 w 4xAA, 16xAF: FPS 18.6, Score 469 Another quick note - only in the Dx11 tests one of the CPU cores reached 90%, while the second was at 30%; in the rest of the tests only one CPU care was used the overall CPU usage was lower. Have you tried the bench? What do you think?

Specs: E8400@3.0GHz, HD4890 stock speeds (880/1000) with 1GB, rest in the signature.
I ran the test in DX 11 with original posters settings and a resolution of 1920X1200 and again at 1920x1080 ![]()

Thanks for the reply, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between our results even though you have both a faster CPU and GPU.

I like all those, is there no interest from others to run these?

@Contagion: Can you see any difference in image quality if you run it in dx10 vs dx11?
