Ok so I ran 3DM06 the other day with all my normal background apps running on my sig rig on Win7 64bit RTM and I managed to pull 11K.
Any good? Or could I improve? (IE without OCing CPU, then my PCIE link drops to 1x )I am aware of the benching post, just read it now, but I'm not reinstalling purely for the sake of benching.

As a point of reference (that's all a 3DMark score is ) I can get over 4k more than you (~30%) in 3DMark06 when my CPU is clocked at 3.5 with my 8800gt.
__________________3DMark is just a tool to make comparisons and benchmark. If you're not willing to make changes to your system to make it perform better, there is little use in running 3DMark in the first place.
