D40: Bought!

I finally did it. After trying to snipe a D40 off ebay in vain a couple of times, I decided to be a real man and ride my bike to the camera store and buy it there, with the full warranty.

I've been jacking off over this camera for too many months now, and the pressure was just too strong, I put a down on it, and it should be arriving by next week. I took the standard kit,...

So I just noticed that we have a blog feature here... I really only noticed because I was picking on chipp and realized that he had several blog entry's... I click on the little link and low and behold an actual blog here so I think to myself... damn the little text edit I did sure is funny as hell...



yeah, I've been thinking that for some time now, but even though I don't have time to waste......

So yeah, I totally just realized we have blogs. Apparently these things have flown under my admittedly feeble radar for quite some time - but now I've found them and expect to rant and blog my brains out for about two weeks until I get bored of it and move on. So just prepare yourself.

I've realized that computers and their performance are no longer my chief interest or hobby - hi-fi headphone gear and other audiophilic things have stolen the limelight. I game much less, I've lowered...

By and large, PC enthusiasts are a very spoiled, greedy bunch. Many of us expect our machines to forever be at the top of the mountain when it comes to performance. Perhaps because we put so much into our machines -- money, time in research, effort in making tweaks -- we expect plenty in return.

If we use our machines to play games, we want every single last FPS we can squeeze out of it.

If we do media encoding, we want to get the job done in the very shortest time...

I got a new battery for my PSP in the other day. More than a bit of an improvement considering I used to be able to drain the charge within a day playing Disgaea w/ no sound and lowest brightness. Which is kinda concerning considering Disgaea is all sprites and some 3d polygon flair for special attacks.

But back to the point of this entry...
