F@H: Progress! (And Questions)

WOOT! Broke 1500 on the OCN F@H rankings! Just started folding a week and a half ago, and it feels great to contribute to the OCN team. Currently #1479 on the ranking list.

Currently using two of my gaming computers (main (3.2Ghz e2160) and backup (2.66Ghz PD805)) for folding 24/7. Have a raw score of 4643 so far.

Digsby=My New Favorite IM Client

I found out about Digsby from an issue of Maximum PC a while back. I fell in love instantly. I've been using it ever since. My one gripe (besides the infrequent crashes, but it's still in beta, so those are somewhat excusable) was that it used to take a whopping 75-90mb of RAM to run. With the recent Build 32, it's taking up about 45mb. Not quite the 75% less that Digsby claims, but overall I'm extremely happy. One word. HUH? I completely DON'T get it. I mean, I understand the idea behind this: a substitute to a CD in the new digital era. But come on: a collection of 1X2 cm Micro SD cards holding your music? Can you say drop it down the sink?

To add the the strangeness, SlotMusic is being marketed at a "new file format". WHAT? It's really just a Micro SD card with MP3s on it. Give me a break.

What I WOULD possibly get behind: a HC standard...
