I don't own "Crysis," and therefore have never played it. Consequently, please accept my disclaimer that my opinions in this piece are more my responses to the community reaction to "Crysis."

*****

"Crysis" is a controversial game. Perhaps not in the same sense as the "Grand Theft Auto" series of games is, but it is nevertheless a hot topic of discussion amongst gamers and PC hardware enthusiasts.

Posted 08-17-08 at 09:28 PM by max302 (Tech Yabber)
Updated 08-17-08 at 09:31 PM by max302

I'm not pointing fingers here, but seeing two sentence blog entries just makes me want to cry.

I figured that I might be useful to newer members and first time bloggers by sharing the little knowledge that I have on blogging with you guys, as to make OCN blogs a better...

Take a seat everybody, uncle t4ct1c47 is going to give you a brief history of why misinformed people think that DX10 will work on XP.

Please be sure to rate blogs and the posts in them

Posted 09-05-07 at 09:37 PM by Chipp (♫)

As I'm sure you've noticed (or maybe not noticed ) each and every blog and blog entry on this sub-site can rated on a 5-star system. You can view blog entries sorted by rating here, and you can view entire blogs sorted by rating here. The more diligent we are about rating entries that we like or dislike, the better and more useful the system becomes. So please, after you get your daily dose of bloggage, remember to reflect on how you enjoyed (or didn't enjoy) what you just read, for both the community...

"Future-proofing" is one of the most misleading ideas spread about in the PC enthusiast community, in my opinion. The sole beneficiaries of the quest to stay on the so-called "bleeding edge" are 1) the hardware manufacturers, and 2) users who seem to have egos that need constant massaging.

In truth, there's really no need to get the latest and the greatest hardware; in fact, I think it's downright silly (I wanted to say "stupid," but that might offend)...
