Bioshock is way too short.

Posted 09-05-07 at 11:51 PM by dhrandy
Like the title says, I think Bioshock is way too short. I just got done beating it on easy in 15 hours. I love the game, but thought it was going to take way more time. I thought I might have just been beating the second boss of at least 5. Oh well. Now it's time to play it on Medium. I might even go for Hard.

Why play the game on easy first?

Are you not in to FPSs?

I find with FPS's that I will play at medium or hard to start off with. If I play on easy then play on medium I already have a generaly idea of what is going to happen and where I am going to get attacked.

Medium = Easy in my mind. Unless you're new to fps, anyway.

I used to start out on Hard, but I ran into more than a few games where "Hard" just meant "We'll give the poor sap almost no ammo and health to work with". That does get frustrating, so I tend to stick to Medium now. Sure it's easier than I probably need it to be, but the key to a fun game is being able to constantly progress while also being challenged. I'm never challenged in Easy.

I think Doom 3 on nightmare was a prime example of the hardest difficulty being over hard.

The original Doom on nightmare wasn't too bad though.
