Hey, after a good session of playing counter strike I think i'll post up some tips for you guys on how to get a bit better. This can help players of all ability, but don't bash me for telling you something you already know, when your a pro.

General tips:

Don't run out firing everywhere, small controlled bursts are far more accurate and get greater damage

Try to avoid using the big guns such as the M249 Machine Gun, start with the assault rifles such as the FAMAS, M4, AK47 and Galil. These will help you be better all around.

Be stealthy, the crouch key is very important in this game, crouching with your head poking around a corner is a good way to hide yourself as much as possible while shooting, standing full on in the middle of a hallway shooting will do nothing but get you killed.

If you insist on using a sniper rifle, use the Scout. The AWP is a 1 hit kill weapon, if you only use this then you'll fail when your on a Scout only server and you need to be accurate. Once you've mastered the scout, if you really want you can try the AWP. But I don't accept responsability for people calling you a noob when you use it.

Play intelligently, If your searching for the last guy and your teammate is shooting somewhere or getting hit, then use your brain and calculate the most likely place the enemy will be. A good example is if an teammate stops and throws a grenade or fires, this usually indicates enemy activity. Use this to your advantage to locate the enemy forces and tactically work out a good shooting spot to take them down.

Finally, be patient. This game takes a lot of time and skill to become good. Don't expect to launch the game for the first time and get right into it with the big boys. Don't get angry and take note of the good things you do and build on them. Don't take the things you do wrong and get so angry you want to punch your monitor.

My Recommended weapons from each class:

Terrorist = Red
CT = Blue
Both = Green
Underlined = Best overall

Pistols:
USP
Desert Eagle (Deagle)
P228
Fiveseven

Shotgun:
M3 Non-Auto

Sub Machine guns:
MP5
P90

Rifles:
Famas
M4
AK47
SG-552

That concludes my mini-guide to CSS. If you have any questions or want any special tips then just reply to this blog, so everyone can see your questions and my answers can benefit everyone.

Thankyou!

SNOW! It never snows here. I live literally a few hundred metres from the sea, so snow here is very rare. So it was quite a suprise when it started to blizzard during lunchtime.

Music was alright, wasn't too boring. The listening papers are more of a pub quiz than a GCSE, its just sat in silence tests that I don't like. Its been actually a pretty good day, after the exam me and my mate did a Piano duet (on the same piano) with our whole class watching us. I never do stuff like that, I guess it was a spur of the moment thing.

Had a good lunch time, chilling inside listening to music. Good times at dinner, when it rains/snows.

What did everyone else do today? Snow for anyone in the UK?

Music was nerve-racking, fingers were alright so my excuse has pretty much gone. Johnny be goode; not too easy when your sat infront of the two music teachers (who both think i'm far better than I am) playing your own rendition of it.

I think I did alright, although I admit it looks like i've been trying to cut my wrists or something, the scratchy bit of the strings were hanging up at the bottom of the guitar and I kept scratching my wrists on them. I can imagine the rumours now. "Jack cuts his wrists, emo."

*sigh*

Found out that I've got my Music listening exam tomorow morning too! So no lessons between 8:45 and 10:30. Just sitting in a quiet room twiddling my thumbs to the wierd woman reading out the questions on the tape.

I'll get through it, though.

Hope everyone else has had a nice day. I've just opened my packet of quavers and i'm now furiously munching away.

Happy (nearly) Febuary!

I'd never even found this section of the site, despite the fact it says "Blogs" at the top i'd never taken notice of it.

Read a few entries by people and by the looks of things its like a diary? Let the world know what's going on? If i'm wrong about that, then tell me. But since I assume thats what it is, i'll blab on a bit about what i've been up to lately.

Tomorow! My music GCSE (qualifications you take from high school, for the yankies) performance exam is tomorow. I'll have to cart my Les Paul - which weighs a lot - to school, do my best rendition of "Johnny be goode" and then cart it back home again. I'm actually nervous, its the real thing. Shame I've bitten my fingernails off while being nervous, which really makes my fingertips hurt when doing the big bends in the song.

I'll get through it, I'm just hoping I don't mess it up big time and end up with nothing.

Marcus00 is starting the mods on my Case soon! The new CM690 I ordered is ready to be windowed and cut up. Can't wait till I see what he's up to and also for when I get it.

I think i'll stop there, since i've probably not grasped the idea of a blog and i've just written 1277 Characters about boring stuff that no one will read. What would the world be without random banter?

Have a nice day!
