Bringing Dreams Back to Reality

So, I love reading and have read loads and loads but nothing much in the past year or so. But last night my room was stuffy so i turned on the fan and went to sleep with a migraine.

I had an amazing dream and the story was so original and nothing like anything ive ever read before. However, I can only remember chunks of it, BUT I know for a fact my dreams last night weren't different dreams that I pieced together, but just one whole dream, like a story and everything flowed from part to part perfectly like a novel. It was epic material for sure.

I don't know how or if it was triggered by anything when I was younger, but I use to be able to have some awesome dreams over and over again the same ones a lot of times.

I just wish I could have this dream again so I could remember the details that are missing.

Though I wish I could have a lucid dream, I wouldn't get anywhere with this one because I have never created a daydream or story as enticing as this one. But if I could have this again and fill in the blanks I may start turning it into a story.

And so... I am now on a quest to find ways to re-dream what I have dreamt before if possible.

    reading... bleh >_< lol

Heh, I know what you mean about those dreams, I've experienced something like that, and it really feels like reality sometimes. Since I remember I was only able to re-live a dream once, and it was more like a resume of what was left behind years ago! Most of the dreams I have I can either fully remember or just chunks of it, I've had cases that I know I dreamt but no idea about what and rarely don't even remember if I dreamt or not!

I don't know if it is possible to force to dream with the same thing or a new one, but I think it is related to the subconscious, probably tapping into it would allow you to control your dreams. I've seen somewhere if you knew what your subconscious mind knows, you'd drive crazy.

But I'd love to re-dream what I've dreamt before too, especially because I love to "escape from reality" now and then

Hope you get better soon from that migraine

Lol, well I don't think I could go much crazier than I already am xD but yeah now that you mention it forcing it is kinda... weird idea

But yeah I use to have the same dream multiple times so I was hoping for that but then last night I also had a pretty crazy dream too and remember the whole thing :O Hmm the mind is a weird thing...

But there is a thing called lucid dreaming which is where your dreaming but in it you know that your dreaming and therefore you can control whats going on in it. Now if I could achieve a lucid dream, it would be so bats insane that my head would probably implode xD

Though i have heard of people doing things to slowly work there way to having a lucid dream, maybe i should look into that a bit.

That sounds really interesting, I'd like to be able to control my dreams, or force myself to dream about something, my imagination would play a huge roll on that xD

Hell, most of the times I only know that I'm dreaming on nightmares, in which I can almost always control when I want to wake up, and the times I tried it never failed. Now lucid dreams, they're rare, and those that I can remember that I had in the past, I only noticed too late, no time to change the outcome

I've had a dream few days ago, that it felt so real and without anything out of the ordinary that I it took me a few minutes to notice I was dreaming lol

But yeah, the mind is a wierd thing, or better yet, the brain and our subconscious self are, imho humans are too "immature" to understand both to their full capacity.
