Played the demo of BioShock..

Posted 09-04-07 at 09:46 PM by Krunk_Kracker

Holy Cow! The demo is great...I haven't finished the demo yet, but the visuals are simply amazing.....and it runs EXTREMELY well on my rig...no slowdown at all...the new Unreal engine looks stunning. Now I'm in a personal argument with my self on whether or not to buy it, and if I do, whether do get a hard copy or get it from Steam or Direct2Drive

Well, the demo is short so you won't get to see so much but the demo is pretty amazing. If it helps your decision, either one will have the rootkit.

Very stunning visuals combined w/ a very flexible engine. Quite atmospheric too, really freaking creepy.

Apparently Bioshock uses Havok physics. This made me remember my one of my previous fave-of-fave games, Painkiller. They used Havok, likewise had very advanced graphics and that game too ran like a dream on most systems.

My vote is a hard copy.
