If I pay $9000/yr for school, I'd damned well get a job @ Intel or something.
If you can hear the songs in the back, they are Paradice Lost - The Last Time and The Prodigy - Narayan.
Sorry about the serious killer volume, my mic was set real low and I just maxed it. Still trying to find the 'sweet spot'
GAH! $9k/yr for school!!

I agree with txtmstrjoe and F3t1sh. I pay almost $16k for school yearly --I'm one of them, working while studying and hell it worth each cent. IMHO when it comes to education, money is secondary. You won't only develop your intellectual abilities but also your social ones.

Education is not the price you pay for credentials, education is how you make yourself worthy of them. A real education won't simply add to your erudition and technical knowledge but will also add to your ability to understand and overcome problems in the future. Higher education is not about remembering names/numbers/dates but rather learning how to find and use them and why they are important.
By the way, you all got off easy, my law degree cost me nearly 26k/year (worth every penny - well, it will be when I finally pay it off in another ten years!)Posted 04-05-08 at 11:57 AM by maestrotmbg

Honestly, $9,000/year ($4,500/semester) isn't really that high, even for a (public) State University. Private schools are quite often much higher. I'm attending a relatively small State U in Minnesota, and IIRC my tuition is about $5K per semester ($10K per year).
An education is one of the best investments a person can make.
