Just how offensive does chat have to be?
It's the night/morning of Aug 18th/19th and I can't sleep. I figure I'd take a peek in chat and see whats going on. A couple of members are talking about the Olympics and just ranting about how USA's teams are just not up to par with the rest of the world.
A few of us were talking about how popular soccer is in England and in the Middle East. That was when I had heard the most disgusting lines from a rather respected member. I merely stated the fact that soccer is popular in the East, and he started ranting about events from 9/11. Then I stated that my entire family from my dad's side is from the East and that I haven't done anything like such (I never will).
He then said, "Why haven't you? The virgins are waiting." This had angered me, and I stopped it before it escalated to something uglier. If you hadn't noticed, it was the extremists, not the normal followers.
I do agree that people have the right to their own opinions, but what kind of opinions are these? I'm just absolutely appalled that stuff like this can be said in chat. And, yes, I am Muslim.

I'm sure if you took a screenshot or saved a log and sent it to any mod.... It would be taken care of.
It's sad how offensive some people can be.... But it's 3598423584 times more sad that they don't even realize or think they are being offensive. Ignorance is bliss and unless they know they did something wrong then it'll just continue.
