So... What?

Posted 11-15-08 at 04:06 AM by legoman786

My friend is having me build him a new computer. He said he'll get the funds sometime mid to late December. He has no idea how much to give me, cuz he said he won't let me build it for him for free.

He put it this way: "I won't give you $25 and be like 'I'm gonna enjoy my computer,' and, honestly, I won't give you $2g either."

I, honestly, don't know how much to charge either. I've known this guy since freshman year of HS, way back in 2003. Seeing as how I am with friends, I don't want to over charge him.

Maybe y'all can help?

I usually charge $100 for a build, and then some more if they want me to set it all up with the OS and whatnot.

$50 an hour for me, but for a friend i'd do $20/hr

Well, all of the internals, we're buying the the Egg and as for the case/fans, we're going down to a local shop. He's getting the OS, as I have some copies laying around.

He's stepping up to an E5200/4GB Dominators/4850, from an A64 3200/768 RAM/9250. I told him you'll do a freaking back flip as soon as you hit that power button.
