Well turns out Everex is now out of business and lots of XT5000T owners are having this problem.A few of them have baked their mobos even to fix it. I was skeptical but I didn't have anything to lose the board was already dead.

So today I set our little stove in the kitchen to work. 392F (or close enough anyways) for 15mins it sat on a pizza tray socket side up, just the way i like them! To finish I added a light tomato chutney and creme sauce... ok maybe not. :D I badly burned a cap and melted about 50% of the plastic stickers off and it looks like it's been through the oven too! Anyways I've had it on all day since 10am and now i'm posting this.

If you come across this along with all those postings on the internet suggesting this and you're skeptical about it, it does work but I don't know for how long. But since they aren't making new motherboards give it a shot.

As I sit here tonight I am thankful once again for the kind folks in India who now handle my Windows XP activation ever since I hit my 15 automatic activations sometime back in 2005.

Unlike the knuckledraggers who run my ISP, the service technicians in India speak better English than the Americans working about 26mi from my house. If I had to put up with one more "ain't" or "ya'll" or any other of a million subversive contractions of the English language for that matter I would probably kill no less than 10 people every time I activated Windows XP.

Tonight I had a very attractive sounding woman named Mahla (I think that's how it's spelled) guide me through the process of activating XP. She was very thorough and precise in her manner and did not give off sort of attitude like some of the mammoth bull dyke grade school drop outs who happen to have passed a one hour seminar on how to read a piece of paper. I had the last one calling me a (and I quote) "Good fer nuffin punk kid" in a very loud voice after I explained that my MAC Address had changed and what she would need to do after she told me they would have to send a technician out to my house (which btw they do from the center there... but this isn't about those monosyllabic tree dwellers)

Anyhow, here's to all the gang at the Microsoft Activation Center in India. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
If I'm ever in town I'm taking you all out for some Goat and maybe a Show.

So I've been playing HostileSpace off and on forever now well since back around 2000 anyways. It's a pretty good game for a free 2D MMORPG Space game. Trust me it's more fun than it sounds.

It used to be you'd login and have around 70-80 people on any server either PvPing in the badlands, laming bosses for phat lewt or other cool/fun stuff. But the creator of HostileSpace, Blitz, has since removed and reworked almost everything so much that tons of players have quit over the years and now we're left with between 5-10 people online. Barely enough to do anything with. The people that do play are either Normal players or total mental handicaps with the split being about 50/50.

Blitz, HostileSpace 1.0 Final was great!!! HostileSpace 2.0 rev 5 is utter poo. Why don't you go back to the stuff that brought you hundreds of dollars a month and a large player base? Sigh.. well hopefully he keeps working on it and brings it back to what it was or makes it better.

If you've never tried the game, it's free to play. It's pretty entertaining for a game that was made to run on Pentium IIs.

www.hostilespace.com

P.S. I'm going back to WoW, sigh

It all probably just stems from a vitamin deficiency or because their mommy's don't love them enough. I wish we all had Online ID cards that showed everyone where we live and who we are in real life so I can go beat some 12yr olds ass in real life.

Is it because school is back in session and all these 12yr olds can no longer do anything but play on the computer at night after school?

Speaking of school... I've gone back. Getting my A+ Net+ and Security+ right now to get my foot in the door at Boeing. Planning on getting my A.A.S eventually.
