Preparation of EVE

Posted 10-05-09 at 02:40 PM by Pir

Today i finally decided to start on my next casemod, unlike all other mods i decided this one deserves a worklog on ocn for a change. Have been doodling most of the evening wich in fact is quite uncommon for me as i normally just grab my powertools and get on with it. EVE is going to be different in many ways. After browsing myself silly on every local hardwarevendor's site i got dissapointed with the offerings below 100$. Mostly plactic crap with shiny dooda's and stuff wich break easely and made out of recycled tin cans instead of steel. This said i had a look around upstairs to see if there was an older case worthy of beeing granted a second life. Found a big beige behemoth wich housed a PII once, the perfect candidate for my next featured mod. Now i do have some experience with modding and i do have all the skills needed to make it look interesting like tig welding, spraypainting, benchwork etc. Tomorrow i'm going to take my drawing to the metalshop to get some steel and mesh. Looking forward to start and if i do i'll start up a worklog.
