E8400 @ 4.05GHz Prime95 10 hours Stable!

Posted 06-04-09 at 05:18 PM by Rick Arter

Well finally got to doing some overclocking on the new BIOSTAR board I love it. vcore adjustments are a bit coarse but other then that no complaints. Ram Prime95 overnight and woke up and boom it was still running. Temps were a bit high at 67c max but mostly 64-65c. Need to drop the multi and see how high she will go on the FSB. Still learning this board the chipset is same as my other board mainly the P35 compared to this one with P45. Just lots more settings to work with which should prove great when finding my new highest stable overcloc. Vcore was set at 1.40v under load which was a bit higher then I wanted but gonna work on lowering that setting.
