I don't understand why some people hate apple so much. Really I don't. Some people have given reasons, though there dumb reasons. And some people have just told me they hate apple for no reason at all.
As soon as you start talking about the iphone or something apple-related someone has to go and say apple sucks. So you decide to defend apple for whatever reason you have but they give you no reason. Just that they will never buy any apple products in their life and won't listen to you. Now the people with a reason tell you because of some bad thing apple has done in the past, as if microsoft or sony or any other company has never done wrong. There are times when you should boycott a company or something to that effect but people just hate on apple for no reason and they make great products. With apple its not just about the function of the device(though its important), its about the looks too. You wouldn't buy this would you?

Again - I didnt start that thing in chat. For the record - it was Ducky. But you decided to continue the arguement and got us close to getting in trouble with the mods.

In chat I was discussing on getting a Verizon phone. And then out of nowhere Ducky says the Iphone pwns all. Which it certainly does not. My PSP can even kick an Iphone's ass and it wasn't meant to be a phone!
So I go ahead and say, No - I refuse to buy any products from Apple.
Rick here goes and says that thats stupid. I told him - I dont care what you think, end of story.
Before I get to the Apple, Ive always been against Macs since the day I first worked with one. It was a horrible experience and overall the quality of it was just bad.
Ipods are fads. And only just that. Eventually it'll end soon, where something bigger and better will come along. Ipods are just another stupid thing to lug around with you meanwhile there are 1,000,000s of other devices that do the same and even more. The concept of an Iphone was probably the smartest thing Apple has every come up with I will gladly admit.
The Iphone itself is a cool gadget but things like no Bluetooth and the need for Itunes is what repulses me. Itunes has to be the worst program on a computer Ive ever used. Ive used so many different music players/managers/sellers and Itunes by far as got to be the worst. Not only does it look ugly but it just doesn't cut it for me.

Don't get me wrong, you are entitled to your own opinion.
I just don't think you have a valid point to argue why you shouldn't buy apple products. Your argument has no proof; hence, why I dismiss it. Your still not proving anything by stating that apple is "just a big fad crying to die off soon", and that "there are better products out there." Let me make it real simple for you so that you can understand it this time.
Support your opinion by including REAL facts and then you'll have a valid argument to bring forth.
No offense Omega, but your opinion to me isn't worth anything until you can support it. I encourage you to find proof so that I can maybe try to understand your point of view.

All the ipods being a fad is a fact. Its like hairstyles of the 70s-80s, they'll die off easily.
Better products being out there being every other MP3 player Ive come across. From the PSP to a Zune. The whole reason as to why I wrote, "No offense Omega, but your opinion to me isn't worth anything until you can support it," was to convey that fact that you didn't succeed at providing any truth to your initial proposition of having facts to support your opinion.

yes - i just did. I didnt want to name specifics but I did.
Quality - the macs certainly didnt apeal in terms of both looks and certainly dont cut it with overall hardware. Especially when it comes to video gaming.
The Ipods - are fads. What else is there to say? Like I said, for the 4rth time so far i believe, is that they will die off just like hairstyles or clothings from the 70s-80s. I even named 2 specific products that are completely better then the Ipod, which I shouldnt need to.
Itunes not only has horrible look to it, but its one of the worst working media players/manager/sellers Ive come across. Music Match Jukebox (another specific, I like to avoid them like I stated twice) is hell of alot better in terms of multi-media vendor/player/manager. The only thing Itunes wants to do for me is to duplicate all my music and then copy it onto my media device.
Iphones are the only things remotely going for Apple and I still dont even like them. My PSP, which wasnt even meant to be a phone, has more features then it'll ever have.

Well the fact that you just gave me (about it being over 80%) doesn't change that the Ipod is a fad. Back in the 70-80s, bell bottom pants and sleeve-less shirts or leather was just about what everyone wore! Everyone! Now, today, you rarely see anyone wearing bell bottom pants, maybe a sleeve-less shirt here or there.

Your comparison can easily be argued.
That was a style of pants and shirts, obviously they went out of style but jeans and shirts are still worn. If you haven't noticed, iPods are updated in design yearly and new iPods, i.e. iPod Touch come out. Obviously, the older iPods have gone out of 'style'. But as there is always a new looks for the iPod, and the recently updated UI, the iPod will not go out of style as you call it.Posted 03-13-08 at 02:32 PM by Marin
