I am done.

A couple of pieces that were too "sloppy" were broken off. I re-measured and re-cut them. Much better.

Wiring was given some attention, as well as the shroud that covers the aperture from the PSU module to the MoBo module - I made another one.

Applique has been added to the cover, and other incidentals have been taken care of. I will post pics of the work when I post my final later this week.

Re-work has been completed. I ended up making a new cable housing for the motherboard module. The first one was too short and gave the internal appearance of the case a rather “hurried-finish” look to it. The longer version is only a small step above. Sigh…. a lesson well-learned.

The HDD module front panel was such that it drove me to distraction. The initial errors that I made were compounding each other into what I would call nothing short of shoddy workmanship. Gaaaaah!!!!

I really tried to ignore it…

The finish on the passive vents on the sides of the HDD module were another “D’oh!”!!!!

I put the carriage in front of the horse by drilling the holes first, and then look for ways to finish them…. a mistake that I will not be making again. I scoured 2 counties and 6 towns for 7/16” snap-bushings. All that I could find were ½” bushings, and re-boring the holes was out of the question. In the end I found enough to complete the outer panel, and had to use a 7/16” cord strain-relief on the inner panel. The strain-relief had a nub on the inner wall, and when they are seated the nub covers 60% of the I.D. In the end it really didn’t matter as the airflow through the HDD module at it’s lowest setting is more than enough.

The “Spine” was another addition. I wanted a way to:

• Remove all the cables and cords in one go
• Remove strain on the cables’ and cords’ plugs
• Keep the cords and cables tidy and well-managed.
