Oh yeah, and if anybody could throw me some advice on how to take better pics with this amount of light and crap, I would greatly appreciate it and I would return the favor.

I will then be set to start a new mod!
Jumpin right in to a new mod ..a true modder you are.

A good tripod is a must have in low light or indoor existing light with flash off. Your pics will be sharp and look great. My best indoor pics have been when I've used mine.

Thanks!

So, I understand I will have to stop holding the camera.

That's a given.

However, I have no bipod so I will have to make use of chairs and books lol.

Now the lighting situation. Is it better to have lights in front of the case on? Behind it? Both? A dim?

Are there any settings on the digital camera I should have set on?

rep for the help!

You have a digi-cam?

If so, try changing ISO function on your camera. This changes the cameras sensitivity to light. In short the higher the value the less light that is required for the camera to make an exposure.

There may also be a White Balance setting that you could experiment with.

Most digi-cams have some pre-set effects (i.e. sepia or tungsten) that can assist in getting some good pics.

There should also be a series of pre-sets for various lighting conditions (i.e. Cloudy, Flourescent, Indoor, etc.).

Experiment with combinations of the settings until you get something you like.

If you have a 35mm or APS camera then the shutter speed will play a big role. There are also filters that can be attached, or you could try some mild tinting. Holding the tint in front of the lens will filter out some of the glare.

Good luck, and post them pics!

Sounds good, Syrillian! I will mess around with what is available at the moment, the white balance and ISO settings, and see what luck I get with that.

Maybe later I can see about the filters. Thanks!

I second Syrillian's advice. Experimenting will prove very helpful to you. Good luck! I'll be looking forward to some nice pics.
