Default day 5

Day 5

More sanding, i got a 2mm drill bit to make the holes where the side panel and lexan will go, so that i can the screw in the self tapping screws.

1 more coat of primer on the fan brackets and 3 more on the front bit since it's a bit rough from my sanding.

I'm really not looking forward to sanding the case body... save that for new year.
I'm going on holiday tomorrow until the 7th Jan so no moe updates till then.

cya,
Silver

Default day 6

Day 6

Ok Im back from holiday and ready to get this thing finished off.

I sanded off the top panel outline down to 400 grit

Then wiped with meths and put the fisrt light primer coat on

I tried wet sanding (like in spookys guide) on one of the fan brackets before putting the black on but it left painty dirty residue all over it that dried and had to be vigurously cleaned off with a methy rag, so i didnt bother with the next one.

Heres the first coat of black on the fan brackets. Its real shiny and dark, i'm happy with it.

[IMG][/IMG]

When I was warming up the paint in fershly boiled water (like spooky said) one of the cans bottoms kinda exploded outwards like the hulk was trying to bust out. It gave me the hugest fright because i was shaking it when it happened.

Sorry about the tests before, I'm trying out photobucket as my image hoster as imageshack has gone all wierd on me, and i was trying to find which link was the direct link.

Thanks
Silverrrrr
