I'd really like to take the 3 or four partail cases and make the look awesome, but I don't really have the time(could make it tho) nor the resources. I mean I just traded out my crappy, messed up X-crusier for a gigabyte 3d aurora, and i had already switched once to a old gateway case i modded(that thing was cool, but unfourtunatly, not litterally) tehn back agin. I'm finalyl w/ my gigabyte case and i'm try to tell myself not to mess w/ it, but my inner modder is talkign to me, hehe... sometime soon i hope to post sum pics of my recent builds/rebuilds in a nice thread/album. and I want to get teh rep i need cuz i have the one i told u guys about the painting fiasco(w8 wrong thread, sry, lol. this one) one soon for sale once i get teh 6800GT RMA'd, BFG is being slow

LOL--where to begin...

THe front panel looks unfinished...I can accept that--not sure what would make it look finished...how about an acrylic or modders mesh insert instead of the Fan Filter?

Is the blue fan filter just too wierd looking? BTW it glows when the UV unit behind it is on...but I am not tied to that particular look. I made the hole oversize on purpose--but maybe that's what looks odd...

But the filter matches the fluid I will be using and the FilPorts on the top.

Tubing diameter is the same as the tubes I used in Velocitor--1/2" ID and 3/4" OD--the case is really tiny and I think that makes all the tubing look huge.

Looking at the pics again I still like the simplest loop the best--I wanted to add all those ports and tee lines--but I like it better without them.

What interior color would make the blue lines stand out? THe FLuid glows under UV BLUE so I was thinking maybe white or silver for the interior?

What exterior color would look best? Should I leave it silver and black or paint it Blue or white or womething else altogether?

Yes it needs a window and some tubes to make it pop. I have some UV reactive window molding I want to try--it glows blue but looks transparent.

Not sure if I will have time to to do the window today or not.

I am thinking I want to add a top panel window too--the top mounted res would be visible that way--plus the mass of UV tubes all come to a head there.

I need more input on this mod. Let me know what you would like to see

Hmmm...

Silver interior to make the lighting stand out, a window in the top and sides to see the shiz on the inside, and then paint the front panel a glossy black, or matte black to match the sides.

I think the front panel is throwing people because the drive covers are black, and the side panels too. Maybe some carbon fiber vinyl like you said.

Great job as always!

What do you think about this plumbing set up--is it more aesthetic than the tees and barbs?

So the front panel would look better the same color as the case rather than in contrast?

Silver for the interior sounds good!

Come on you modders give me some more input--I'm on m first cuppa joe and can't seem to figure it out this morning.

EDIT: I am going to mess around with some mesh and see what I can come up with...

So the case shold be black on the exterior? How about a "hammered" finish like you get out of the can from Rustoleum?

I definitely like the loop without the "T"'s and all the fillports.

Personally I like the color contrast, but painting the interior would look good. I don't know about a hammered finish though. I don't think they look that great, IMO.

Default Ideas Please

I bet that thing will look smokin after you finish painting it. I am also curious to see how exactly you will manage your wires, given the space constraints. IMO, regarding this scenario, modular PSU = win. I can only imagine how much of a PITA that would be with a "regular" PSU and it's cables.

I would like to see some better pics elaborating what you used to "attach" the pump to the back panel. Did you make that piece holding it, or did you buy it? Nice job thinking of that, BTW. GO, CyberD, GO!
I am using an X Connect I got from MootsFox for fitment purposes. fornt panel switchgear and USB are nicley hidden behind the rad. A put in a single round IDE cable to the DVD just to make sure it would work. All I can say is that the designer at Antec must have secretly made this case for modding...

I've had a few mini cases that you can hardly put anything into--the drives hit the PSU--stuff like--the front panel in particular looks like it was designed to be modded up to 120 from 80. Even in a conventionally cooled case a 120 in the front would be a good mod on this box. It has some nice features like the isolators for the HDDs. It comes with a 380 watt Antec PSU which might be enough for some systems...not an SLI sys though.

The real downside to the FilPorts on the top panel is it limits the access to changing out the PSU and makes the top panel non removable. So I am going to change how that works--I'll put the FilPorts into an acrylic panel that is held in place with self tapping screws--that way undoing the panel will let the top panel pull off and make working on the case easier.

I think I will just use a single FilPort up top--all the elbows and stuff looks wierd to me. I like the drain where it is--that seems pretty clean. I just don't like how that elbow hangs right in front of the RAM slots. As expensive as RAM is you want to see it

Not sure what shape to make the window on the side--I was thinking something a bit more freeform--the box is square enough as is.

Looking for feedback and ideas from all you modders

Lightbulb Front Panel

I think the reason it looks unfinished is all the mismatched colors. The res is clear, the DVD is grey-black, the fan controller is totally black, fan grill is blue, and the front panel is white. All those different colors messy.

I think perhaps even a simple paint job would do it. If you painted the front panel black then it would match the fan controller and the DVD. You might want to leave the res clear so you can see in it and I think the blue grill would go good with black.

Just my thoughts

Way better w/o the "T" lines. I'd do the front and optical drives the same blue as on the front grill, maybe the inside as well. Or a gloss black on the inside. I would stay a way from white though dust an such will show up to easy. The top and side windows would be a good with the UV blue acrylic.

Redoing the filports sounds good, and I think fishie's point is valid.

For the side panel, how about a simple celtic knot:

Nice! I think I agree with what I am hearing. My main reason for wanting a filport is safety--if it overflows while filling/bleeding it splashes on the top panel not the gear... The last bay res I used to fill the system did not look likely to hold up to more than few installations..the screws were chowdering the acrylic threads in the sides. So I wanted to make it a no brainer by filling from a T.

I guess I will take a look at it when I get the window cut out.

Here's another question for you modders...where's the best location for the top panel window? Should I extend it far forward or make it centered in the space?

I am going out to the ModShack (tm) to hack away at the side panel...I really appreciate the input!
