What are your thoughts on how to go about eliminating the dimples? (as in more bondo?)

In the pics they kinda look like they are "supposed" to be there.

The one's on the top of the face plate should be, with all the curves there to seal up the top of the flaps it was inevitable. The one's I was worried about are on the top plastic part just above the fill port. However there was a small accident last night that may have pushed this project back a bit, me and my big feet managed to knock over and step on the front panel All in all it held up ok, I'm kinda surprised it didn't just fall apart, lol. I'll post a pic of the damage in a bit.

Whaaaa?!?!? you stepped on the panel?

Oh man... I'm sorry to hear that you pulled a "syrillian"

Pics of damage done?

Sounds like it may have not been too bad? *hopes*

Lol, yup I did indeed step on it. And ya it could have been alot worse I guess. I sanded the crap out of it and started filling in the cracks on it. It'll need another coat or two of filler before I'm happy with it. I managed to fracture almost the whole front, as well as the lower sides by the bottom of the flaps. It should be ok. I've set up a temp shop in the basement, so work should go a bit quicker on it now. Here's a few pic's of my accident.

The side after massive amounts of sanding to get the crack out,

The other side wasn't so bad,

After sanding down the cracks on the front,

And last, after the first coat of putty,

Thanks for looking!

Thanks miggs, it's been a long process, lol. I hope to have it done soon. Man I was kinda suprised to see this up on the first page, lol. I'm in the deep SW, how about you? I've managed to get most of the front fixed from my screw up. I hope to get some new pic's of the work done early next week!

please do!

I missed this log, that is a really unique treatment for the Armor. I've never seen anything like it.

I like it. I like it a lot!

Thanks Warfarin I think I'll be trying that filler/primer I saw in your thread. I'm hoping it's help fill in some of the smaller pin holes and such.
