I brought this down to the 'Jangles to show a kid...one of his coworkers thought it was a bong...

First thing the kid said was: "That's Crazy!" In a good way...

You gotta realize that they don't see much of that at the local Bo...

Those are not coolsleeves on the tubes, right? It looked like those are the type of tubes have the built in steel reinforcement. Are they any better/worst than normal tubing?

I saw that stuff at McMaster-Carr and got it to try out and liked it a bunch.

Take a piece of PrimoFlex and tie it in a knot--it collapses and you can cinch it right up...bend a piece of Clearflex too far and it too will collapse.

You simply cannot collapse this tubing...you can squash it with pliers or something into an oval...but typically in the uses we have for it it is pretty handy.

The downside is it is springy--and puts a lot of stress on a fitting if you bend it severely--this might be a cause for concern. I support such bends with grommets or a side of the case--to keep it from straining the barbs. If you go with the flow so to speak and route your loop to take advantage of it it's great...

Seems to stay clear too--some tubing I have tried turns foggy.

The internal wire is molded into the tubing--so it makes no contact with the coolant..and it is stainless steel anyway. Kinda of hard to cut--I use metal cutting shears and then reform it with pliers...usually have to clip a piece of the wire off too...so it's more work than regular tube.
