Tomorrow I should get some red down...the chassis will be dry enough to lay out the loop.

Don't pressure me man--can't you see I'm all pressured up!
JK I got the chassis painted another coat. I got the red to where I am satisfied. Cut a blank of 1/2" acrylic and mounted it using 4 screws to the face frame--thje Solvent would destory the paint and trap the destructio between acrylic and frame in a sort of permanent record of shame...can't do that... SO I then stalled on the rad installation as I realized I was makingit too hard fro the end user to install the mobo and stuff. ALthough the window mounted rad is teh Sech--it creates a plumbing NIGHTMARE and there is actually less room in the case than you might think. A PSU as long as the PC Power 750 dictates that either the rad be pushed forward against the optical bay where it will interfer with all the HDDs and the rervoir--or pushed up where it will potentially interfere with the optical drives... I ended up stopping after amkeing three very expensive mistakes one right after another. First mistake: Assume that the rad location on the Widow would work and cut 4 more panels from UV green, orange, yellow and blue. Second mistake: make an luminum frame for the rad that didn't work at all-- it would conflict with both fan and PSU ![]() THird Mistake: cut two notches in the rolled lip of the ODD bay of a an old chassis only to discover that rolled lip was the only thin g giving the bay ANY rigisity. SO I just stopped and thought I would reset my BIOS to default settings after CLRing CMOs n my apparently misconfigure mod skillz lol. At least I did nothing to mess up the Widow--I tried all this out on the old chassis. Although I have some ideas about how to mount the rad on a frame that attaches to the ODD bay I am hesitant to talk about it until I see if I am still in the valley of shadow. I really thnk it is a matter of going at the stuff for 3 weeks 14 hours a day and then having the family come back into the scene-- It's not working out for my crative flow at all--sounds harsh--but the entire time they were gone I was non stop with one sucess after another. SInce they came back I have wasted about $200 in materials and still had no success...Ithink my level of concentration is too low and distracted to really get in synch and do this intuitively a I have been. I will actually have to slow down and measure ad draw aterns and make test fits and all the stuff I would do normally. I was on a roll...but not today. We will see how this works out--have no fear I will definitely complete all the projects...I just need to regroup and stop making expensive mistakes... $67 in acrylic and $130 something for the case later I am somewhat chastened and need to step back and work out every little detail before I cut anything else and screw it up ![]() My KYBRD is fritzing and typing is a real chore and looks terrible--gonna have to EDIT later

Gaaah!
.... a series of rather frustrating events, indeed. I can certainly see why you are "all pressured up". Fitting issues are one of the more frustrating hurdles that one must navigate. Sorry to hear that you wasted some of your inventory and time... I can relate. I have spent hours on a particular stage, only to have the pride and happiness of completion dashed to oblivion when I discovered that I made the pieces or parts incorrectly. I guess this is where that thing "character" comes in.... ...Do I hurl the project against the wall and go 5150 on it.... or do I walk away and come back later to try again? Keep on keepin' on....the "groove" will return...it always returns.

Still looking good CD, despite the problems.
Have you thought about moving the PSU to the bottom of the front, and then having the radiator length-ways along the bottom left of the window? I'm not sure how much clearance there would be, and you'd need a custom bracket, but if the case is long enough there may be room for longer PSUs... Don't let it get you down
