Make sure you have good ventalation for the LCD becuase when they get confined they produce a lot of heat. Otherwise they project looks really neat, can't wait to see it done.

Here's an idea...may be totally out in left field though...
You know how you have a window in a car electrically operated? Something like that to make the monitor "rise" out of the case and then retract "into" it would be a very very neat mod. Food for thought...

I can't wait to see your plan in action!
You should call it "Project Icy Hot".

How do you do curved edges in sketchup???
Im pretty good with Sketchup but I CANNOT get decent durved edges!! I read somewhere that you gotta use the "Follow Me" tool but there must be another way of doing it!

Aaaaah right sweet.... yeh ive managed to do what I wanted now!! Thanks for that...
EDIT: You dont need the guide line, if you leave it out its easier IMO. Dont suppose you know an easy way to do tubing/pipes do you? PS: Sorry this is all off topic!

As far as the monitor I will look for the pic now.--it's a scissors type arm that offers extension and tilt. So yes it would pull a good way aways from the side of the case--about 6" or so.
