Default CyberDruid's TekCube

Hey guys I made a little base for a Lian Li Motherboard tray that is starting to come together...still a bit to do.

This is just another way to use this extremely cool Lian Li part.

Take a look.

This Lian Li MotherBoard tray is available from Performance-PCs.com

1" angles

I had some 1/8" acrylic laying around...

Just two sides get acrylic like this...

That's the basic idea..of course I will flesh it out somewhat to support drives/PSU etc.

Here's some 1/16" thick 1" angle I am using to trap the PSU and support the CD drives...

I just now routed the fanholes and took supper so the box is filled with swarf. I will vac it out and show you guys some more in a bit.

The PSU and Opticals are in the bottom layer, the HDDs are in a middle layer with two fans and the tray is up top with no enclosure at this point...

I'm not seeing it... What is the box on the bottom for if the motherboard goes on top?

It's a test rig. You put the PSU below and the HDDS/opticals down with the PSU. On top, you have easy access to the mainboard and cards. It's a way to rapidly test new HSF's, swap out parts and test them if they have been RMA'd, etc..
