Well I finally am going ahead to do a wire management mod, and painting of the grey areas in my case. Tonight I plan to go get all my materials, finish the planning stages and then I'm heading off to a lan party. Tomorrow I will probably get this started and post pics of it and my plan. So everyone get pumped to see wire's first big project!!!

Just got home about 10 mins ago and took a picture of the materials I picked up. Tomorrow when I get home from a lan party, I'm going to begin this project.  10/13

10/13 First Coat of Paint
Well this turned out really nice. I think I chose a cool looking metallic blue. I'm gonna go head into the shower, then when I get back I'll put the 2nd coat on. I'll wait an hour and then put on the last coat. I'll the final coat paint job and then I'll post pics later tonight of how the computer looks completely finished. Stay tuned!!!

oohhh.... a Dremel!
mmmm.... I wonder what wonders you will create with that little beauty. If you have not already considered it, sleeving all the cables and wires is a detail that adds a subtle finished look. If you sleeve them in a dark colored sleeving then the wires and cables stand out less. Unless you want them to, then a UV light and UV reactive sleeving is nice - looks like veins and arteries. Good luck, and keep the udates rolling.

Updates will be comming within the next couple of hours. I'm leaving my friends lan party in about 20 mins. Then i'm going to shower and do that stuff and begin practicing with the dremel on my old case. After I get comfortable with it, I'm going to begin laying out where I'm going to cut on a sheet of paper. I'll then begin taking everything out of my case.

Please...please, wear some eye protection. Also if you are grinding on any alloys or metal wear resperitory protection - no offense if you already got it covered, just don't want you to take a hit in FPS gaming cause you lost your depth perception - or worse.

Yea I took woods this last year my freshman year so I'm pretty comfortable with power tools and yes I have eye protection. REP + for looking out for the safety of me.

Well the cutting was alright I guess. This is the first time I've ever modded anything to this extent and using a dremel before. The sparks kinda got annoying but w/e. I need to clean it up a little more and then wash her down and get her ready for paint. Hopefully tonight I'll have that gray all painted a metallic blue. Stay Tuned.
