My obsession with acrylic is pretty bad, there's no doubt about that!

I took the last week off from case modding as my fiancee had surgery on Monday to remove the last cancerous mass around her cervix. The surgery went well and she was back on her feet in just a couple days and all of us are relieved and excited by how well she is doing. She's a champ, that's for sure.

So, she kicked me in the butt last night and told me to get back to work, and she even pitched in an gave me a hand running wires and tubing. What a girl!

Bottom case is coming together and getting pretty close to being completed. The top case though still has a lot of work left to be done.

My new CPU arrived yesterday. At this point I won't say what it is, just that it allowed me to get the Apogee mounted and then mount the motherboard.

That's a lot of sexy blue and black! And the Iandh barbs just make me drool.

I didn't really take pics of this "mod", if you could call it that, but I did paint the optical drive to match the rest of the case. To be honest, this was a super quick rattle job just so it wasn't the bare metal color.

This is a quick pic of the barrier blocks which will be used to distribute power from the secondary PSU (for pumps, fan, CCL, etc). More on this later

And the last pic for this brief update, a pic of where I left off working last night.

I decided not to WC the NB this time around, opting instead for a hard mounted HR-05. We'll see if that was a wise decision or not, but I really wanted to keep the install clean with a clear definition between the CPU and GPU loops (hence the tubing colors). I'm going to try and finish up the bit of fab work I still need to do tonight and hopefully have the whole case done by this weekend.

Let me hear your comments and thoughts!

PS - Anyone know of a good video card with a blue PCB????

Thanks for the compliments guys! This thing is turning out better than I expected, but DAMN is it big lol

Well it's been a while since I posted any updates... I just got carried away and put in about 18 hours of mod work in 2 days and didn't stop to take pics....

I did take two this afternoon when I finally put the tools down and took a break.... and some pics lol

Still have quite a bit of work to do and I'm waiting on a few last minute parts. I was hoping the parts would have arrived today but shipping on my order was delayed... I did get the bracing for the cases figured out with some 1/4" strip steel which I then painted blue to match the shrouds. Suprisingly it turned out pretty stable with only one side of bracing on.

Tomorrow I'll finish up the wiring, install both power supplies, and generally put the cases all back together . It's going to be a tight fit, which honestly is pretty sad considering I've now filled TWO mid ATX cases...

I may end up firing it up after I finish the wiring because I'm jonesing for some CS:S....

I didn't take a pic of the bracing but I will today. It's actually quite a bit more stable than I thought it would be.

As for the UV lights.... well I've got that taken care of already. It's tough to see in the pic but there are actually four 12" UV CCL lights already mounted, two in the bottom case and two in the top case.

Quick update - I'm running out of room lol and I'm not kidding. It's almost sad. For one I grossly underestimated the size of my main Hiper PSU.

I'm taking a break for a bit to write a paper for for my MBA class then I'll likely finish the wiring and get the loops filled and tested. I may even begin formatting tonight. I'll post a few pics of where I leave off.

And ot make it worse I seem to have run out of bandwidth on my rigshowcase account.... lol you guys must like the pics!

Well I didn't get quite as much done as I had hoped last night, but I did finish ALL of the wiring, installed both PSU's, and started to get the cases generally put back together. I have one final bit of fab work I need to do and am still waiting on some parts but my goal is to have it finished and running by Wednesday.

On to the pics!

Finished barrier blocks

Here's a pic showing the bracing I used to stabilize the cases
