Thanks Syrillian, to be honest I'm not upset about blowing up some hardware, I'm more upset about not have a rig. I've been stuck with my laptop (Lenovo T43....) which is disappointing to say the least.

Still wish I knew why the temps were so wacked out though, at 1.5v vcore and 9 x 445 I was getting idle temps between 12-14C with a 20C ambient....

Blood Iron arrived today to since Abit's RMA is ******** and I was sick of waiting for them to replace my IP35-E

And I ordered an 8800GT through Dell to replace my X1900XT but until it arrives I'm stuck with a crappy little X1300 lol

I did double check that my E6850 was still good and it was good to go so I'm going to begin ripping the lower case apart tonight to atleast get it back up and running. Just won't be able to game on it for a while.....

Well I can finally post an update WOOT WOOT!

A few new toys arrived today.....

That definitely put a smile on my face, but I can't install the 8800GT until Iandh's vreg heat sink arrives. I'm hoping it gets here soon, I can't wait to see what this monster can do.

I also finally got the chance to do some overclocking on the new E6850 I got. Haven't had a whole lot of time to get it dialed in but for a crude first attempt on a board I have a lot to learn about I was pretty content

And lastly I'll leave you with a small preview of what the final case is going to look like. At this point I'm about 90% done but there are still a few things I need to finish up.

Almost there....

Heh! I'd wager that those goodies you recieved eased the pain from your trials.

Wow! It looks like a Water Park! .... Wait! ... It IS a Water Park!

Nice job on the integration.

Thanks Syrillian, I appreciate it. As with all the mods, the devil is in the details and once I'm finally done I'll take some more detailed pics.

On another great note, Iandh's vreg heat sink arrived today along with the last two things I needed for the 8800GT, so I'm hoping to get them slapped in tonight.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get 4.2ghz 100% stable so I backed it down to 4.1ghz for now until I have more time to get it dialed in. The problem I think is more RAM based than board or CPU. These Ballistix are a little more fickle than my Mushkins or G.Skills

Default Finally Done!

Well I got the chance to take some vacation over the holidays which allowed me to finally finish this case mod up...lol my rig has actually been up an running for a week or so now but after all the motherboard problems I had I didn't want to button it up until I got that straightened out....

I did have to make some last minute changes to the original design though because of the slight difference in location for the PCIE slots on the DFI Blood Iron and ASUS P5k-E. I'm not 100% thrilled with the change, but it was necessary so I guess I'll deal with it.

So here's some pics!

ReaperX's and HR-05 this time instead of water

This pic shows the change I had to make, originally I intended to have 3 80mm fans, but due to the combination of the difference in layout of the PCIE slot and 8800GT I had to reroute the tubing and eliminated the possibility of 2 fans....I may end up changing this sometime in the future. The 2 fan filters at the top, near the radiators are to provide ventilation

Pumps

Now some with the lights off

So that's a wrap for now, thanks again for all of the encouragement through the build!

Very nice
I would hate to see that thing tip over though.
Looks a little top heavy.

Thanks!! I appreciate the compliments, in the one pic of the backside of the case you can see the strip steel pieces I cut and painted to "connect" the two cases. I was worried about the height as well but it turned out rather stable.

That is one of the most ingenious case designs I have seen. Great job! I especially like the different colors for the two WC loops.
