The 100 Mega Shock!

getting somewhat back on topic, i noticed that the 900 that you're modding has rubber grommets for tubing, is that a standard feature of the 900 or did you somehow add that? mine has a perforation type of design in that area:
did antec add the grommets in later revisions or something? also, i'm currently in the army, going on my 8th year.

First - Thank you for YOUR service to our country, my brother! I think you have the original 900 design. I did not add the water ports in the back of the case, these came in v2 (I think) of the case from the factory. The latest version v3(?) has two large cable mgmt holes between the mobo and the drive support. Either way the grommets did come with the case. ![]() Here is v3 on left and v2 on the right. Are you considering water cooling your rig, by chance?

Hi Butteredtoast,
I used 1" and 1.25" bi-metal hole saws from Home Depot for the round holes. I used a dremel, a drill bit and jigsaw for various other cutting tasks. For the PSU cables at the bottom of the case, I used the 1.25" twice then cut the surrounding area out (smoothed out the oval) with the jigsaw or dremel, which ever fit in the space. It really is quite simple and darn fun. C'mon, try it! If I can do it, you can do it!

nope, i'm a bigger fan of high-end air cooling. far more cost effective.
