Sweeeeeeet....
Hey! a ladybug of good luck! niceness. Did you fabricate the back plate for the motherboard yourself? If so, what did you use to cut it? Gas struts = I have been searching for some small (6") struts. The best I have been able to do was to find some "RV cabinet" struts on ebay. Do you have any good leads? Nice fan you have sitting on top. Mmmmmm.... airflow.

Very nice work! I always loved the idea of a tech station, but I wouldn't be able to deal with all the dust... Did you make the MB tray, or was it out of another case? Either way, I want to see more.

Motherboard tray: Lian Li. The only place online to get them ATM is SilverPC.com PPC is out.
I used to be able to get struts by ordering from Lewis Marine. However they only deal with resellers...I could probably figure it out though. Thanks..it's far from "finished" but it is "complete"

About $180 in materials
Ideally I would like to make this as a DIY kit (like an Erector Set) with cut, drilled, deburred pieces that all bolt together. The only parts that would be pre-assembled would be the Fan Panel and (later) the Rad Box. Figure about $250 for the unit as is. Thanks Rick...I try

Yep I went t the next level and built an airbox to mate a PA160 rad to the top--completely removable..tool-less..
I just got Fstfrddy's latest work of art: the two port Diamond Pin Block. So I decided to go full tilt on the tech station and hook up the Maximus . When I get the LCS install complete I'll pop in a Q6600 and give it a whirl. Still plumbing the loop but I'll get some pics up in a bit...it's more fun with acrylic today

![]() When I built the station I included a landing for the pump platform. I used a piece of 1/8" black acrylic and some velcro to mount the MCP 65 Vario behind the ODD. ![]() I fused together some 1/2" strips 1" wide and used some UV reactive blue for the top. I made a 6" x 6 1/4" cutout for the PA 160. ![]() ![]() The airbox nests into the top between the angles. ![]() ![]() I attached the rad with thumbscrews. ![]() Here I am making some little catches to locate and secure the rad to the top. ![]() ![]() ![]() I fused the little piece to the top panel and drilled it out to receive a pin. ![]() This way the rig can easily be used for an aircooled run as well. ![]() I will plumb the lines so that the rad is removable to aid in bleeding and servicing the rig. +![]() The pin is all it takes to secure or remove the rad. ![]() ![]() ![]() Time to run the lines. ![]() ![]() This is a new waterblock by fstfrddy: a diamond pin two port design. More in a bit

![]() ![]() A simple T-line. Unfortunately it is plumbed into the outlet not the inlet...but w/e. It will still work. ![]() ![]() ![]() I used Y splitters to feed the NB cooler on the Maximus. ![]() Cheap insurance. ![]() The top panel really gets going under UV. ![]() Muahahahahahahha ![]() Being able to manipulate the rad was a real benefit. ![]() Here the loop is about half full. It took almost one full quart. ![]() The tubing clamps are held with thumbscrews to make the mothrboard tray easy to remove. ![]() ![]() LOL ![]() ![]() ![]() The acrylic handles really do neat stuff with the light... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() LOL ![]() ![]() This is what I would take to a LanParty ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am certain the UV reactive stuff will add at least 50 points to my 3DMark scores.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Under normal lighting the tubes like pretty odd.. the 3/8" green ones are a nice light orange now... ![]() Just need a DAMN YORKFIELD and I will be ready to go
