Thanks Bill.
Always makes me giddy when I get a compliment from the "Big Dawgs".
Your attention to detail has been inspiring.

We are using three (3) sets of
MNPCtech's Beefy Rubber Case Feet
on the radoBases (See link in sig)

I noticed you just released your black aluminum version.
I oughta drive over there and smack you in da head with a walleye.
May have to try them on the next order

Also using the MNPCtech
Brushed Chrome Film
and your Carbon Fiber Film on these Projects.

If you're over in the Hopkins/Minnetonka area, give me a shout Bill.

The black anodized feet (and silver ones for that matter) appear to simply consist of the beefy rubber feet with a machined/finished (1/8" thick) aluminum cover; maybe you could just have Bill send the aluminum covers and install them on the existing rubber feet

Very nice acrylic work Radodrill. I check this thread regularly just to hope for updates. Will be nice to see this complete. I think we need a Twin Cities mod meet.

Bill and BlueAqua, count me in on another Minnesota "Meet and 133t"
Preferably somewhere air-conditioned with access to "adult beverages".
Any other Midwesterners interested in a get together?

Rado's thread on the radoBases should clearly show the difference between "mods" and "creations".
I think you guys will enjoy it.
I'll try and get the worklog and pics of the SR-2 (the twin tower with the ASUS Maximus set up).
May be kewl to race them a bit

It may be time to reflect on Life's "big picture".

You know, not everyone has it as good as we do.
We haz our high tech toys and go-faster accessories and can get just about anything we want if we work for it.

Some folks don't even have enough clothes to keep warm, much less to interview for a job in.

You have an opportunity to help others.

By Giving Clothes To Goodwill or other charitable organizations!!

It should make you feel all warm inside knowing that the clothes you previously wore are now gracing another grateful body!

Remember that cleaning out your closets at least once a year and giving former treasures to Goodwill (or charity of your choice) is a great way to give back to your community and help those who are less fortunate.

So look through your closets and see if you don't have something that doesn't fit, or simply might be a little out of fashion.

Those things will probably fit someone else and could be the height of fashion for them.

With that in mind, I send along this heart-warming photo to inspire you, and remind you that your efforts won't go unnoticed.

WTH are those?

One of the great product lines I am fortunate enough to represent is Xantech.
The have a little pack they call the MW-1 (mouse emitter wire dressing).
Basically a piece of plastic with a ridge or bump to lead the wire from the emitter through and adhere it to a flat surface.

each kit has two Long (5" x 1") and two short (1" x 1") and of course one set has a thick opening and one a thinner opening.
The plastic is easy to trim to whatever length you want and the adhesive backing appears "sticky" enough to hold down the wires inside and yet still be removable without taking off layers of paint.

I think they may be a great way to hide some of the fan and temperature sensor wires in the SR-1/SR-2.
Being black I hope they get "lost" in the interior of the cases.
I got a bunch of them so I'm good to go.

The two cases will look more "fraternal" than "identical".
I'll be using blue, green, and UV CCFLs in both cases but more green in the SR-1 with the DFI LT P35 T2R and a little more blue in the SR-2 with the ASUS Maximus Extreme.
The readouts on the Matrix Orbitals are different shades so it should look like I knew what I was doing

Just ordered another sheet of mirrored plexi.
I went back and forth deciding between clear and mirror but the "hide and go seek" look finally won out. So mirrored it is.

Rado has ordered SIX sets of dual 4" CCFLs.
1 set of green for middle section of the radoBase.
1 each set of blue for top and bottom sections of the base.
1 CCFL of each set will be placed in the front and one in the rear of each section and then each section will be controlled by the Matrix Orbital display.
radodrill seems to have it all worked out in that brain of his so I am just taking it all in.

We are concerned about the CCFL transformers (where to place them, heat issues, etc) but I have an enormous amount of faith in rado being able to pull this off.
