For how big the case seems, it really isn't that big. Cable management will take a little effort to make it look good.

Alright some things got done tonight and over the weekend. I got the case feet installed, the d5 pump, and the fan controller.

Fan knobs mounted.

Pump mounted.

Ugh, I'm having real trouble drilling out the holes in my res. I already went through three pieces like this.

Since I don't want to invest in more tools I think CD is going to get this project!

Yeah looks like you could use a drill press. Maybe ask Cyberdruid or Sryillian what bit they would use, they would know the secrets.

I had the same problem drilling through plexiglass. Make sure you are getting the highest strength plexi, and try placing a spare piece of plexi under the piece you are drilling. When I used wood under my plexi it cracked just like that. Also, be sure to use the correct drill bit for the job.

The drill bit needed for the tap I was using was 37/64. Not many kinds of bits come in that size.

The trick to drilling plexi is high speed, low feed(at least for me). Even then it might still crack. Best thing would be to get some lexan. Great job on the project!

Edit:Maybe try a hole saw, but I doubt you will find that size. Also isn't that plexi a bit thin for tapping that size holes?

Re-edit: Nevermind about the thickness, It seems to be like 1/4"(if I'm not mistaken).

Yeah its 1/4 or .22" something like that. I had my drill on the fastest setting and I put it in my vise, but I couldn't get it to cut really well. CD's going to build it for me now so I think thats a much better investment than another tool.

That's what I used. And as I said, placing a spare piece of plexi/lexan under the piece you are drilling can do wonders for cracks.
