Brasso polishes up metals pretty well

give it a go.

As for acrylic test out a high grit sandpaper on a peice of scrap, however i beleive it will just scratch the surface unless you pretty much lap it.

:\ yeah... I wonder if glass polish or plastic polish (is there such a thing?) would work well... I'm thinking that glass polish would be too strong/hard.

I have to say, I am happy to see this running again.

That said, perhaps consider paying hommage to your long-time avatar? Anything that needs paint on the outside gets green; inside gets red LEDs and red paint with the occasional speckle or two of black.

Now if only you can get the flames on the back of the case, the RPW projectile will be done!

yeah I still have it, but for some reason OCN downsizes it to some tiny resolution... I haven't changed it at all!

It must be smaller than 120x120 and also smaller than 39.1 KB. If it is larger than either, that would explain the scaling. I can use one of my many image manipulation programs to shrink it if needed.

well it's 216x108. I'm positive that's the same size it was when I used it last time...
So to get scratches out, I will likely be using Novus 2 or a similar fine plastic polish with a circular foam sponge on a drill (low speed). I also have some little cloth bits for my Dremel if I need to use those (with the redish polish stuff).

What I need to do is re-epoxy all of the corners that have come loose since the last time I looked at the case (three spots, case still holds structurally though). I may look for some acrylic cubes I can use, and then bold the aluminum angle into that. That would be much sturdier IMO, but it would also ruin the cleanliness of the outside thus far.
Opinions?
(edit: the bolts will either be black or shiny polished/chrome)
