OK, well I have the front and back secured together, I have a piece cut for the mobo tray (or it may end up being that side of the case if I get another mobo tray) which is also the side of the case, the top, and bottom. I'm still figuring out what to do for the left side panel...
I also need to cut a hole in the back for the I/O and expansion slot, which has to wait until the motherboard placement is finalized, and I need to figure out where/how to mount drive bays... If I have time I'll get some pictures of the parts I have sitting around the workbench... they are all from old cases though, and they could use a bit of cleaning up (which reminds me, we have a power-washer )I know lots of people like routing cables behind the motherboard tray. Should I mount the motherboard directly to the side panel or should I use a real motherboard tray? Acrylic or metal, or just a prefabricated one from lian-li or something?

CR recommended buying a $25-30 Lian Li motherboard tray. That would work, but it would be kind of expensive. I think that may be my only option though

Well it might seem abit expensive but at least you're getting something good quality that does what you want. Would oyu rather have a shody build, or spend a little extra to get that look of quality. Know what i mean dude? I need to get a new heatsink for my E6300 cos i wana take it up2 3.0 on air hehe
