I was feeling so wishy washy I just couldn't even get excited about it. Took my girl down to the shop (she had last been in there in a wheelchair) and she must've said "wow" about a dozen times. Spent at least an hour playing with some 1/4" washers...hmmmm.
I basically hauled out the gear took some shots and packed it away..couldn't even get into it right now. Hoping to have some sort of insight as to where Rock Candy is going to head but all I got was confused... Not sure if I want to put the three projects into a blender or not...

Maybe it will all come to you in a dream and if that don't work then stick with your original vision. Hmmm lets see you have the Candy as far as eye candy goes now all it needs is some Rock. Something solid for you to put it in.

I was thinking about reviving ICE because then I could slap the phase on a copper cube and run three chilled loops off the three Storm WaterBlocks I just happen to have in the bins.
It's an idea I have been chewing on ever sinve I got that phase off Xavier1421. (Rod Serling Voice) Imagine if you will a place where time does not exist...neither night nor day...we call it: The Twilight Zone It's kind of nust but: have one of our BlockSmiths here mill a nice big chunk of copper with drilled and tapped so I could mount as many as 4 waterblocks to it and still clamp it to the Evap Head. Using something like PC Ice in the loop that is good to -60C should be sufficient and realtively gentle compared to Alcohol. Of course wrap all the lines in foam (ugly) and slather the board with dielectric grease (uglier) and more foam...meh It would be awesome...especially on a VoltModded board like this one...but I want it to look pretty too. The idea of listening to a phase unit 24/7 is not very appealing either...which is why I retired ICE. And then there is the Monolith which is hardly working at all: just cooling Poison ona single CPU loop...what a waste. So by all rights I should put that cooler back to work: and it already has a triple loop head on it...hmmmmm So why build a cooler for Rock Candy when I have one already...that just don't make no sense. And for some reason I have been thinking about tearing down Poison and re-using the CCC RaptorX case in some other manner. I kind of slapped it together in a day and never really lavished it with the kind of attention I reserve for paying customers... It would be a challenge...but I believe I could fit all the plumbing inside that case... So again...why build a case when I have so many here? I guess I'll just stay wishy washy on this until I actually get building...

Here's some snippets of my musings on this.
I have imagined routing channels into a slab of thick acrylic to take the place of tubing. Sort of like a liquid circuit board that is channeled and ported so as to connect the chipset waterblocks in series and to provide a secondary "circuit" for the CPU and tertiary loop for the GPU. This would present the loops in a novel way that would work especially well if the unit was incorporated into a table:the slab of acrylic then being the top of the table... Being transparent the motherboard and so on would still be visible below the "circuit board" of tri-colored fluids which could be UV reactive etc. It's an idea I think would make a great mod comp entry....and if I recall correctly for the last comp the project had to be NEW and not prior to the competition. So I may have to wait on that too... But it's part of a total LC computer dream that keeps rumbling in my belly...

Sorry my poor sentence construction has once again conjured up images of stuff even I can't imagine.
No transparent motherboard here... But that would be very nice...
