I don't think you're going to get a sound card in there with tri-SLI conventionally.
Maybe with one of these

Do you think it still won't fit even with waterblocks on all the cards instead of the stock heatsinks?

Actually it's not gonna matter at first anyway as logic has come into play regarding the gfx cards, see below:

This give me a real issue buying into G80 Based 8800's, now that its believed that the step-up window wont take me any further than a possible G92 based 2*Mio GTX - possibly to be released in April. As such I have decided to be sensable (how I hate that word), and limit myself to 2*G92 GTS's (EVGA) to cut costs now, and save for a major upgrade to 3-way G100's in August. So sorry folks, its not going to be 3-way on day one (/sob), but after much thought I think this is the way to go for now.

If I get itchy, and the 8800 G92 GTX's emerge, and are good then I can always look at stepping up to them!
I can see his point of view on it, it doesn't make much sense investing all this money into the G80 generation GTX's / Ultras.
It makes much more sense to go with a couple of G92 GTS and hope to catch the step-up window with eVGA.

On a different note, what do you reckon to this idea.. it's a drive bay bezel with some text cut-out and then some orange acrylic put in behind the lettering and lit up from behind.

Oh yeah, the orange is cool.
His logic is sound. I did want someone else to guinea pig the pci thingy though.

Only time will tell then

Right i've hit my first problem... the PA120.3 is a hell of a lot thicker than I remembered and theres no way its gonna fit in the roof, especially wirh fans fitted. Any ideas???

Here's some pics I took when planning the location for the WC kit.

@ CyberDruid / Syrillian or anyone else who fancies it... think a metal / mesh enclosure would be do-able if I decided to mount the rad on top?

It looks like my dream build, lol! I love the V2000B cases, and you can't really go wrong with 3 loops (well once you find a way to fit it all in) I second the two G92 GTS's idea, though 3 GTX's would be killer. I think two G92's would be better, the money saved can go to better hardware!

Great work Marcus, I love your worklogs, maybe even more than CD and Syrillian. OK, OK, it's a tie. Subscribed and looking forward to your proegress!

I love the V2000B cases,
Err this is a Silverstone H207case although he has done a V2000B and it is as equally awesome.

Keep up the good work marcus000, It has just occurred to me that OCN has some of the cleanest looking builds around. You dont see to many umm lets say ugly builds here.

Yup like Ice Owl said, the case is a TJ07 and not a V2000 but thanks for the kind words all the same

Latest thoughts on the 3rd radiator are to ditch the PA120.3 and use a Black Ice GTS 360 instead along with some Noctua NF-P12 Vortex-Control 1300RPM 120mm fans or the same Xilence Red Wing 120mm fans.

Bit confused by the stats though, I was expecting the Noctua's to be better than the Red Wings...

Quote:
Xilence Red Wing 1400RPM 120mm Quiet Fan
Normal Voltage: 12 V
• Rated Speed: 1400 RPM (12V)
• Airflow: 68.00 CFM (12V)
• Noise: Approx. 21.2 dB(A) (12V)
Quote:
Noctua NF-P12 Vortex-Control 1300RPM 120mm
• Normal Voltage: 12 V
• Rated Speed: 1300 RPM (12V)
• Airflow: 54.3 CFM (12V)
• Noise: Approx. 19.8 dB(A) (12V)
Extra 14CFM for the sake of 1-2dB.. yes please!?!

Any thoughts as to whether the Black Ice GTS 360 will handle 2 or 3 G92 GTS cards? My inital thoughts are that it will be ok but if any of have can link me to some similar test results that would be cool.

Heya all,

I have now been duly pointed to this thread (Thanks Marcus), Please keep the comments coming, and feel free to throw any questions! Oh, if its not clear, Mizpah = Martin = its my build ;-)

And why is it, just when you think you have everything sorted, a million new questions appear !? Normal for this sort of build I assume ?!
