That's my Wife's mess...I can't get her to do much more than she already does...life...

Still waiting on the Enzotech...I'll probably just leave the rig alone for the next day or so until that gets here. Hoping the Enzotech fits...I think it will. Then I will tranplant the E8400 with something a little more powerful...maybe the QX...still undecided. I have a Q6600 that needs to get to work too...

The PX-716AL is quite hard to find. I bought a number of them from a dealer in the UK that was liquidating stock. Even so they cost about $150 each. I have a couple if you are interested.

I am getting Audio of the HDMI...theoretically this would be surround sound too. But I am using the TV speakers.

I have seen some reviews praising the Enzotech. I bought it for the form factor. THe V1200 is a tight case despite it's appearance.

Questions are good.

Been having some minor annoyances. The cooler is at the PO but IO could not get out of the house to the PO today.

The USB Wireless I bought crpped out after 36 hours...dead. So I got another 2nd day air...but it showed up three days later and it's having issues with Vista...half the time it is not even seen or recognized.

The first one worked perfectly...no driver needed just plug and play...but it died.

What's with all the absolute crap Newegg sells? Don't they even test or revioew the stuff? They have 351 wireless adapters...why? Why not just have 75 or 100 that actually work...

Another annoyance is the crappy HDTV that is 1080i and makes text absolutely unreadable at high res. A real headache trying to configure and install stuff when you cannot even read the menus...

When the 1080p finally gets here it won't be an issue.

And the beautiful diNovo Edge $160 keyboard is starting to come apart...\

I mean is there ANYTHING that lives up to the hype anymore? It does not seem to matter how much you spend or where you buy it it's 99.9% crap.

$160 keyboard starting to come apart...blows my mind...

Anyway...probably should just log off for a while...it's been a totally wasted day...

I agree with a lot of this, but with some exceptions. Acer has never let me down, and neither has Logitech.

It's a Logitech Keyboard. THe metal trim on the bottom edge is lifting away from the body of the keyboard...

Anyway NewEgg just emailed to say don't bother RMAing the USB thing they will just refund or send another. Something about their email server hanging up for a couple of days and suddenly dispensing 4000 emails at once was the delay...

Yow...I bet that sucks.

Anyway once the kids go to bed I will try and get the Wireless sorted...if not I will soon have another Crappy lil Trendnet (that worked great for all of 36 hours)

that sucks I agree quite a few times i have gotten a few crappy things from newegg but they have replaced it right away. but if you are looking for a wireless pci slot adapter I would recommend this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833315078

Edimax wireless N adapter slightly expensive at 60 bucks but i have been using it with both 32 bit and 64 bit vista and works like a charm the driver that comes with the cd takes a while to load when vista starts but if you get the latest driver it runs perfectly. connects right away and I dont see too much of a diff between this and wired while playing WoW.

Hey thanks. I got an Encore Wireless n and it works.

I am also going to be getting a replacement for the trendnet from Newegg...love those guys. They treat me like I was CyberDruid or something.

Hey I put the Enzotech on last night and I took some pics.

I have to say I am totally impressed at the build quality. The bottom of the sink was absolutely perfect: like a copper mirror.

Unfortunately it was too large to fit...without some modification.

I gently reformed the heatpipes and got the beast installedand saw a 10C drop from the stock cooler.

However what I thought was making the noise (Stock HS) turned out not to be the case.

lol

I could have saved myself $70...as the Stock HS keeps the rig at 40C Folding.

Anyway..it's a decent HS for sure. Getting ambient temps at idle and mid 30C Folding. I would say it is as good as LC.

I also had to sub out the mounting hardware as the G-Board has a massive heatsink on the back that is not easily removed (the NB cooler mounts to it too).

Pics in a bit.

Default Enzotech Install

I had to bend the heatpipe around to make it fit but I don't think that effects the performance at all. The fan is dead silent and the temps are as good as most LC setups.

I still plan to LC the 3870X2 (s) in the future...but that will be a week away.

I actually find this panel with no window very sexy

Certainly much sexier than this jumble of wires o..O

Here's the beast. Nice box...the cooler is extremely well protected and could survive a few UPS dodgeball tournaments.

No lapping required...this HS is flat...unlike the equally expensive TRUE and IXF.

Isn't that attractive @_@

Okay I was a bit bushwhacked and did not get the mod process documented. But all I did was press the heatsink against a towel on a table and reform the heatpipes...very gently...to better accomodate the case. Then of course I could not use the spiffy backing plate because the mobo already has a massive heatsink on the back of the socket. I used a punch and knocked out the trapped bolts and was going to use them but decided that in the event I might want to service the HS without removing the mobo it would be better to use 6-32 machine screws and nuts.

I stripped the heavy springs from the Thumbnuts supplied with the cooler and used some 6-32 thumbnuts I have and was able to sock down the HS just fine without using the backing plate.

There is about a 1/2" clearance between the heatpipes and the bottom of the top compartment.

Hoping the cooler helps cool the hot-blooded motherboard too.

Eventually I will do a total re-work on the interior and bring it up to CDPC standards. But the Wife get's irritable now when I mess with the PC...She is enjoying using it too much
