I got a big PITA from 3DMark...
I wanted to post a decent score...so I spent 5 hours trying to tame the OC... Never happened. Ran it at stock: submission failed ![]() Guess I better go study the clockers with the GH-Boards until I get a clue.

Okay at Optimized defaults in BIOS with everything bone stock the card pulls 13118 in 06. This is pretty much in line with the 2900XT runs I have done in the past.
More soon.

I could use some advice from fellow GA-X38 DQ-6 owners as to which settings to manipulate.
This board is not easy to OC.

I've heard good things about the boards, but they are definately different from what we're used to. I googled a bit and came up with this: http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/revie...q6-blog-5.html Hope it helps.

Okay aftr about ten hours of fiddling around trying to get something rspectable I had to give up. Yep. Screw it. This build is not about max OC...but a killer HTPC that will easily run a 1080p display. My choice of 3870 X2 is for th true HDMI output from the GFX port...and my choice for the X38 is about getting a pair of GFX running to ensure massive FPS without having to AOC the card or booard very much.
At 3.6 the rig will post 18K+ in 3DMark06 consistently...but is not stable. There might b driver issues too...but in essence no matter what I try I cannot get to run stable at 3.6. I would not reccomend this board to anyone looking to put a major OC on a Q6600...it just is not that kind of board. However for the intended purpose it will be fine.

CD, if it is going to be an HTPC, why do you not have a TV-Tuner? Also if your using the XtremeMusic you won't have a spot for the tuner card. So I would recommend one of Hauppauge's PCIe x1 cards. Here's a link, I used this card in my uncles computer and it works awesome.
